B7610 and B2410 differences?

Without a 3PH attachment on a B7800 with FEL the length is 13' 4". That would be a tight fit for your barn if you have to make a turn. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Here is a thread on B7800 length. Click Here

A nice option the B2410 has that the B7800 doesn't is the ability to widen the stance of the rear tires for stability on slopes. I expect this is the same on the 7610 but don't know for sure. I went with the 2410 because it sets a little lower than the 7800 providing better stability. Nice to have front weights on when using a heavy 3pt implement like a brushog.

MadDog...

Time for a new tractor building... or addition... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

...you'll likely have implements to store too... and the backhoe... and the other OPE stuff you probably already have...

I wouldn't decide on a tractor model based on the shed size...
...how's the shed's door height for the tractor ?

A portable shelter is a good option too... not that costly... goes up in a day or 2... this is the way I went...

Good luck...

If the length isn't too long for the overall shed, I would look at putting a new door so I could just pull in and then back out. That is what I did with my current shed a few years ago to accommodate my old Cub 1811. Of course now the shed isn't big enough for my BX1800 so I need to expand it this year. Don't like having it sitting under the King Canopy this Winter (of course I like scraping the vehicles even less so it was booted from the garage it had all summer/fall). /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks for the data, Guys. Jury's still out on this one. I think I'll take a run up to the dealer's, lay out my shed dimensions on his lot, and see whether it will work. If not, I suppse I could do worse than end up with the 7610.

This may or may not be true...

I don't know myself. If a tractor is a little higher AND a little wider, then it is possible that it is as stable, on a cross-slope, as one that is lower AND narrower...

Too bad tractor builders don't publish some kid or theoretical tip angle for comparison purposes...

Henro, I agree with you, but you can make the B2410 rear tires quite wide due to the 6 sided axle the rim fastens to.

Would of course depend on your garage, yard setup, etc etc,
some would NEVER do this, but when I built a 28x24 addition
on to my shop I made a bubble out the back so my car trailer
could be put inside when I want.

Just a square projection, 2x10feet wide horizontal versus the vertical
fireplace extension you sometimes see. Faces the woods so
doesn't look "funny".

After the fact you have to put in a header like you are
putting in a window so the studs have something to sit on.

Depending on your siding, you could remove and keep the
section for installation later when/if you sell the house.

That's assuming you have sheet siding like T-111 or something.

Otherwise it becomes expensive and hard to retrofit backwards
and have it look good.

Ten years from now your tractor will be in much better shape
if it is stored inside.

No question about that, Del. Of course, I could always build a pole barn to house it. Then I could up-size it a bit, just in case I eventually want something bigger than the7800. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Building the OPE shed was so much fun that I wouldn't mind another similar project anyway.

Another outbuilding??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif .... LOML would just about go ballistic.... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

But other than insisting I'm nuts /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, she wouldn't put up too much of a fight.
