B7610HST speed control pedal problem

Hello all,

I hope you can help me with this problem. I have a Kubota B7610HST with only 200 hours on it. I have been having trouble with it starting. The tractor will often not start, nothing happens when i turn the key, and I can eventually only get it to start after playing with the speed control pedal to get it into the neutral position. The pedal does not return to neutral on its own even when driving. When i am going forward or in reverse and let off the pedal it will continue in the same direction i was travelling at a lower speed until i press the brake or the speed control pedal in the opposite direction. Can you offer any potential causes for this pedal not operating correctly and what needs to be done to fix it?

There is a grease fitting on the pivot for the peddle, sounds like maybe it needs greasing.

I did grease that fiitting and it didnt make any difference..

Common problem.

The grease should do the trick but I still contend with the same issue on a B7800. The concession is that I know what is the issue.

There is a thread here somewhere that allows information on how to bypass the safety switch.

May want to clean all the old grease out then regrease it. I also used to spray all my pivot points with WD40 and that helped the petal return to neutral more freely.
