Backhoe B7800 Backhoe

Need some opinions, I got a quote on a Woods BH6000 for $4K installed,I got a quote on a BH70x for $6k installed, I will only use it for work around the house, stumps, ditches and honey do's. Does any one have a BH6000 on a B7800? if so is it way too small?
What is everyone' s opinion on spending an extra $2K.

I've owned a Woods 6500 (older model 6-1/2' hoe) on a B2400, and a Kubota 4690 (7-1/2' hoe) on a B2910. I think the utility of a hoe goes up exponentially with it's length/digging depth. The value of a longer hoe comes in two areas.

1) Less repositioning of the tractor to be digging in the right place.

2) More reach to dump the spoils out of the way.

I'd spend the extra $2k if you can swing it.

The 6000 is way undersized for the B7800. I'm running a BH80X on my B3030. I feel like i have to reposition all the time - even for digging one stump.

The BH-70X is nicely balanced on the B-7800 and it does the job very well. I had to dig down to 6 feet a couple of times and it did the job with the bolders we grow here in CT. Also go for the mechanical thumb, it makes the BH that much more versitile.

Thanks for the pictures nice set-up. What size bucket do you suggest for digging stumps,planting shrubs and cleaning out ditches?

I have the 12" bucket, however, most people on this site prefer the 16" bucket. My limited use the 12" has served me well.

The backhoe w/ thumb came in and I installed it all day Friday, was doing real good till the last item "the 12 inch bucket" the measurment between the ears at the pivot pin is 3 5/8" the measurment across my dipper stick is 4 1/2". Called Woods they said it would be end of week for new bucket but every thing else worked great.
