B7800

I just bought a B7800 with a 63" snow blower for the front and a 72" woods grading for the back. I also am having the tires filled with fluid and chains put on the back. My driveway has a little bit of a grade to it and I am wondering if I will get stuck. Is there anyone out there that has any similar situation.

What kind of grade?
What depth of ice and snow?

And I doubt you'll get stuck, slide a little on ice maybe, but not stuck.

Mike , I have industrial tires. The ice all depends on the weather and the grade is about 4ft in 15ft. I am used to a 2 wheel drive backhoe with a posy rear end that needs chains to go and a old Allis Chalmers with a snow blower that is two wheel drive with chains. Thanks for the welcome.

I have a B2410 with turfs and chains on the rear and unfilled tires. FEL on the front and 60" blower on the rear. It is very hard to get stuck unless you get over a snowbank or have a freezing rainstorm.
If you are having traction problems, guarantee almost noone else is moving either.

I've running a 7800 with loaded R4 tires and have plowed my driveway for the last two winters with no problems. I'm about 400' off the road with an incline to get up to the road at the end. I'll spin the tires on my car trying to go up the incline from a stop, but the tractor just goes on up.

Here's the problem I have. I bought a7800 last year. Awsome machine, I have the turf tires and a weight box no filled tires. The chains do not fit on the tractor because there is not enough space between the tire and the wheel well, so the dealer gave me wheel spaces that I haven't put on yet. So hopefully that will work.

All the B27-2910 and B7800's have a clearance problem for chains if equipped with Turf tires.
You have to be one of the luckey ones to get a set of spacers from the dealer.

Thanks for the heads up on the spacers . I haven't gotten the tractor yet and the dealer assures me the chains will fit the way they are. Does anyone know if they make spacers for the front so I can put chains on the front.

It is not recommended to have chains on the front and rear tires at the same time. Probably causes excessive strain on the front drive-train.

Dear Sir. I bought a Kubota B2910 with a kabuta snow blower last year and I am impressed. I have hills and valleys and snowdrifts. Nothing stopped this beast. I have icepicks chains on the rear tires and the 4 tires are loaded with something new thats good for the invironment. I stay in 4 wheel and lock the differential when I need constant traction. If I though I wasn't getting enough traction I might put my grader blade or rakes on for balance and weight, but do far I haven't had to. Good luck fellow orange man.
