I havent' seen any hogs, or sign of any hogs around the house since Oscar has been free. He does follow me all over the land when I'm going for a walk, or out on the Mule, but otherwise, he sticks real close to home. When we go to add corn to the feeder and swap out SDS cards in the game camera, he sniffs all over the area where the hogs have been feeding, but then he follows me back to the house, or wherever I'm off to. I've never seen him on the game camera, so I don't believe he goes back there on his own.
This evening, I walked down to Lake Marabou to see if I could get some sunset pics. Oscar walked with me down there just like a dog. He went off into the trees for a minute, then came running back to me, then around me, then ran up ahead a bit, then off into the trees again, and then back to me. At the water, he played in the mud and created some really nice ripples for my picture. It's 40 degrees outside, and he's playing in the water and the mud. Then we walked over toward the feeder and back to the house a little after dark with him with me the entire time.
The only negative is that he does get under foot sometimes, and he's obsessed with shoe laces. If you stand still long enough, and don't pay attention, he's going to pull your shoe laces.
