You can see some of the grass and branches that he's been adding to his nest. What's funny is seeing him walking along with a mouth full of grass, carrying it to his house. Unfortunately I haven't had my camera with me when I see this, or the pics I've taken where too fuzzy because I rushed the shot.

They're all cute at that age. When they grow up & start stinking, remember one thing. The bacon is the best part! I would highly recommend hiring a butcher though. Friends & i just put 4 in freezers. Had it proffesionally done & would highly recommend it.

Your new here so I will go easy on you... ;-)

Oscar is the TBN mascot and IS full grown.

He is a celebrity and I have no doubt he will live to a ripe old age!

I'm not going to be so easy on 1Guy.
1Guy,
Would you eat your pet pig after you made a house for him and put his name on the house? Would you eat your pet pig that got you dates?
Did the Ziffells eat Arnold on Green Acres? Enough with the bacon jokes. They are getting old.

What? You don't butcher your own hogs? Come on down to Texas and we will teach you how to do it. We have enough wild ones, you can pick your favorite one out.

It looks like Oscar is enjoying his house!

Yes, Brandi, i would. I bought 4 pigs in April. Gave them a nice home, food & water twice a day for 6 months & still sent them to the freezer. good eatin' too. Remember your meat doesn't come from the supermarket, it is brought there by butchers. Pig farmers are farmers too. Sorry!

Each there own ... I'd bet my last dime that Oscar will live a good healthy long life as the family pet.

I don't know for sure but I assume Eddie and his family still eat pork.

Myself I raise hogs, cattle and we eat our own .. Some of them even get names ... Like Tbone, Burger, Pork Chop ... Pets? Maybe maybe not

1Guy, the big difference here is you bought your hogs for eating, Oscar adopted Eddie for friendship.

Oscar is part of our family, and I would never eat family. As for eating pork, Karen picked up a big slab of bacon from Sam's last night and we are looking forward to enjoying it with our breakfast this weekend. We've killed 8 wild hogs on our land in the last two months and we're still out hunting for more. We had some the other night mixed in with beans and rice that was excellent. We love eating pork, but can't imagine why anybody would think that we would want to eat Oscar? Maybe it's just something to say to try and be funny or just looking for attention?
