Bachoe Thumb Attachment

I have a 2006 Mahindra 3215 with a Mahindra 3710 bachoe.

I am wanting to add a mechanical thumb.

I have done a search of this site but would still like to hear from anyone that has done this or a similar application about their experience.

Look into Michigan Iron, Northsaw also makes some nice thumbs but getting ahold of the guy is more pain than it's worth IMO.

There's a small time guy in the UK who makes bucket thumbs for mini diggers, amongst other things. All his own designs.
Have a look through his facebook pictures for some good inspiration. This is assuming you could make your own, or know someone that would make it for you.

A thumb is the best money you can spend . Mechanical is fine , hydraulic is better naturally .If you can weld or know one it is not a hard install .We bought one for an excvator , I think , from american attachments .

I made one by drilling a hole in the top corner of two scarifiers, a bolt, a square u-bolt and two u-bolt straps.

No cost for parts and very little time involved. Worked great! :thumbsup:
