Somewhere there is a thread about mounting skid shoes on a back blade. There was a request for pictures, and I finely got around to doing that.
This is the skid shoes I made for and use on my repainted King Kutter back blade. The bottom of the shoe is flush with the bottom of an unused cutting edge, and there is a replaceable 1/4" sacrificial wear plate on the bottom.
