Looking to add a back blade. I have a 45hp tractor. Found a used 8ft John deer model E0 880 for $300. Is this going to be the right size? I plan to use it for dirt leveling, light ditching, and snow. I am interested in that model, the price, and sizing. Thank you

What is the outside-to-outside width of your rear tires? Is your tractor 2-WD or 4-WD?
Tractor horsepower tells us little useful.

Also useful to know your rear tire type and if tires are inflated with air of "loaded" with liquid.

my tractor is a New Holland Tc45d with supersteer and hydrostatic drive. Has AG style tires that are loaded. the outside to outside width is a little over 60", I'm not there so can't measure exactly.

Good price for 8' blade long its not bent or twisted.
Blade at 45 degrees should cover rear tires least foot.
Lot folks push snow with rear blade which is fine, just remember when pushing with rear blade there no trip springs if you hit something solid.

An eight foot wide rear blade should be just right for a rear tire width of 60" to 66".

Rear blades are almost always pulled at an angle. An eight foot wide rear blade should just cover your rear tire tracks when it is operated on a 45 degree angle.

I expect your tractor width is 72in. mine is
that is a good price for a good size blade for that tractor

I purchased a woods model HBL96(8ft) back blade about 7 years ago.Stout blade that has held up very well verses my old king kutter blade I used to own.Buy the JD I would assume it would be a decent blade.
