Finished the Dolly for My Kubota Back Hoe!
Can be easily rolled out of the way for winter storage also at the correct height for a 5 minute hook up!

Consist of 3 pictures:

Material used:
One 5' small trailer axle with 400X8 wheels and tires. Off an old trailer I had laying around doing nothing!
Two 2 1/2"x5" U bolts
Dolly originally built for my ballast box!

That is pretty neat!

I now have visions of how I could make something that would work on my crushed stone shed floor! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I can see me using large wheels like you did under the main frame, and making up a large caster wheel that would replace the bucket on the end of the of the stick...three large wheels that would roll over almost anything...who needs smooth concrete then, right!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Dean that's a real neat set up and I'll bet the big tires make moving the dolly real easy as Henro said even in the gravel. I used to store my New Holland backhoe similar to you but as the hydraulics relaxed my backhoe would change position making it harder to mount it the next time around. I came up with a steel dolly for the New Holland backhoe but my idea is best used on a concrete floor. my dolly

That's a nice design. I hadn't really thought about using trailer wheels, but it's a good idea. I plan to build a BH dolly this winter, so I appreciate the pictures.

Nice Dolly for the backhoe. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Do you have a picture that shows how you mounted the axle to backhoe?
