Backdragging - How to not bend your FEL cylinder rods?

I've been back dragging with my bucket in full dump position for 8 years now with no issue. But I do it on float and I don't try and go wide open and ram stuff.
Got many areas around my house where I back drag the snow and ice out, then move with the loader or snow blower.

I back drag a lot with never an issue even in the tough clay around here. Its not that hard to do but the big consideration is taking your time. Don’t go ramming or using momentum to do the job. As with most injury incidents if you start yo get pissed off QUIT. Quit or go do something else for a while. Somehow like magic it will fall into place and go better tomorrow or later on.

"The result was a set of steel hydraulic lines split apart in what sounded like (and actually was I guess) an explosion."JWR

As you stated, JWR, it was like an explosion. Guess I am a slow learner as it took me twice - I suppose I needed confirmation that backdragging was the actual cause of the popped hose. And then you sit on the tractor knowing you are done for the day - at that time and in that place - until you take the hose off and trek to town for a replacement.
