I thought of trying to do something like that but then figured once I got the pin in I'd never be able to get it out, at least not by hand. I figured it should just slide in and out nice and easy.</font> I find I can easily remove the pin using the hydraulics to pull up on the boom. It releases enough pressure to pull it out. Of course you could always reverse the process with the 2x4. I lock mine mostly when I have the tractor on the trailer. It is also helpful when doing loader work as the boom tends to settle and before you know it your digging in where you don't want to with the rear bucket! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
