Backhoe Backhoe first time!

I think I see what you are talking about in the second pic. On mine, there are tabs welded on the bottom ends of the tank. These tabs bolt to metal frame plates that are bolted down to the lower hoe frame where it bolts to the sub frame rails. These are the 6 rear bolts you need to check regularly(kind of hidden behind the pump hoses). I usually wind up setting with my heels resting on the tank, so I don't see how your setup would be very comfortable. Here is apic of mine, and my grandson leaning in to look at a spider:)

Ron, Re: your post #27: I ordered a 45/64" drill bit I'll tap the return 1/2" NPT and instal a 1/2" street ell. I haven't looked at the return line origin is it at the valve body? If I can open that up I'll do that also. Richard

Yesw, it is up on the valve body, on the right as viewed from the operators seat. If I recall the fittings are 18MM. You should be able to get an 18MM-NPT adapter at your local hydraulic shop, and you could replace the whole hose quite easilly with an oil rated 1/2" hose.

Got some other things to take care of, when I can get back to that I will. Pushes oil out the filler when it gets warm, can't put up with that. Richard

Neither could I, that is why I relocated the breather...

Bracket and tank were trimmed to stop chaffing of auxillary hose to FEL. Pictures taken with a different camera could not be posted. But enough could be shown to give a picture of the work done. The Backhoe worked very well with no hydraulic oil oozing from the top of the tank.

Been having trouble posting pictures from this one camera. This should be a pic with the hose installed.
