2010 Kioti ck30 gear
Hi everyone, looking to put a backhoe on my CK30 gear 2010. What set-up do you have. Been looking for the wallenstein GX720, kioti KB2475, both are 7 foot backhoe with 16'' bucket and subframes. Quite pricy around here 7500$ kioti, $8200 wallenstein. I was also offered a Kelley 7 foot 3pt backhoe for $7000. I've seen Lenar 3pt backhoes on sale from a dealer in farnham, 7.5= 3900$ and 8.5=4200$ are does any good:confused: would a 8 foot backhoe be too much for my CK30:confused2: I intend to use the backhoe on my DK45SE cab and don't mind having to buy a 2nd subframe.
So what do you think:confused:, there are so many backhoes out there, can't seem to make up my mind.

I have a Rhino 7.5' on my CK25. Like it. I would not go with a 3pt backhoe. Frame mount only. Might be tricky to get one to work on both tractors. Best to consult your Kioti dealer on that one.

When I got my CK35 almost 3 years ago I got it with a Woods 7 ft backhoe.
Main reason I got it over a Kioti backhoe was that the Woods came with a factory installed 7 position Thumb, which was a must for me. Had one problem with the backhoe (they replaced a swing cylinder) but was looked after promptly  by the dealer.

I am in the same boat right now, my considerations are the Kioti kb2475 and Woods 80x. Big price difference, but I like the woods w/thumb. Also, I'm advised that the Kioti will not be compatible with my Woods 1012 FEL subframe. Probably going to pull the trigger today...

Mousefield, is that the kl130 loader and Woods 70x subframe on your machine? If so, it appears the Kioti FEL is compatible with a Woods BH.....wondering why not the other way...

I've owned both a Kioti KB2365 and a Woods BH90x. Both are very good tools. I'd probably have to say that I prefer the Woods but it would be tough to say how much extra I'd pay for an equivalent Woods over the Kioti version.

For comparison, I just had a KB2485 installed for $7500 + tax. This is on my DK40se with cab.

Yes, that's the way I got it from the dealer and it is the BH70X. Getting fairly quick at putting on and taking off the backhoe. Biggest pain  is taking off the 3pt arms.

I'd go for as much reach as you can get. Even 6" makes a big difference.

Well, I've spent enough time burning brain cells over this. Ordered my BH80x today along with a few other bits. Got lots of diggin' projects this year. Now it's the waiting game....

You will not regret having a BH or a Woods. Great tool and product.

Mousefield, The Woods setup must be a little different than the Kioti KB2375? I don't have to remove my 3pt arms for the bh. I'm able to adjust them to not make contact with the bh unit. I had thought others, with the Woods bh, didn't have to remove their 3pt arms or do you remove them for another reason? Or maybe the DK35 and CK30hst setup is different.

I have the BH90x and a DK40se. I can mount the BH without removing the 3pt arms but it requires "stuffing" them under the operator station which means keeping them bungeed together and lined up to go there as I am fiddling with other alignment issues during the mount. I've learned that it only takes four or five minutes to remove the arms and that is an easier solution. You definitely cannot mount the BH without freeing the lift arms from their lateral supports anyway so I just do all the removal activities at once. Just a few extra pins and washers to deal with, nothing heavy duty.

That is what I do as well. Was told they can go under the backhoe. After trying for about 20 frustrating minutes to reattach the Woods backhoe with the arms on I just took them off. Still a pain in the #@% to take them off and put on.

I had the KB2365 which has a very similar subframe mounting system. I now have the Woods BH90x which has the four point subframe. Many folks like the fact that the Woods subframe has essentially no impact on clearance while the Kioti subframe does cut a few inches of clearance. However, I can tell you that even after three years experience with it, the Woods BH takes me longer to mount than the Kioti BH did. The Kioti subframe just requires generally lining things up in one or two planes before you can use hydraulics and a mallet to muscle the BH precisely into position. With the Woods system there are four points that need lining up very precisely in three planes before you can get threaded bolts in place to secure things. The Kioti pins are tapered and can be whammed into position, the Woods threaded bolts would be damaged with such persuasion efforts.

I love the Woods BH but from my experience conclude that the Kioti subframe system has more benefits than problems and I think it is more practical.

After sitting for awhile (like all winter), the BH sags here and there which causes it to be a "line up" issue for one person, especially if the frame mount gets lifted off the ground four or five inches. I had 4' hydraulic hose extensions made so that I can attach the hydraulics to the tractor before I have to drive over the frame mount. Stock hoses are too short. It made mounting an easy one person job, get BH all leveled out , back over it, drop in the two pins and off you go. I did remove the hose extensions later so they will not get tangled in something, but that may not be necessary.

Hi
I just had a 2475 kioti BH installed for $6000 including tax brought it home and it took me less than 5 min to remove.

That's a great deal, if it included the subframe.

I think the 2475 is the probably the best turn-key solution for the CK30/35.
It seems to mount closer-in to the back of the tractor, vs. the Woods
4-pt subframe and the BH80X. I have examined both hoes closely, but I
have not owned either one.

I see that Wallenstein (a Canadian company) has recently started
advertising a extendable-boom hoe for CUTs. That would be interesting....
the only other such attachment I have heard of is from Hardy.

Getting a thumb with my backhoe was very important to me. The local Kioti dealer said he could weld on a 2 position thumb, which to me was a bit hokey. The Woods backhoe came from the factory with a very nice and substantial 7 position thumb. So it was a bit of a trade off, better thumb or possibly easier on/off backhoe. :)

Yes it was a great deal it came with sub frame and rear remotes installed. He also added 3ft to the hyd hoses , i wasn't sure why but like someone mentioned it makes i so easy to hook up.

+1
Main issue I have with my 6.5 is not enough reach. Sometimes you can only get the tractor so close and if the backhoe comes up short it is of no help owning a backhoe.
