Backhoe Backhoe for JD 2305??

I just bought a 2305 for cutting and plowing. Was wondering if anyone had put a backhoe on one... Any suggestions??

I just put a Woods BH6000 on mine (See my post) and have a lot of pictures.

Excellent pictures. I e-mailed Woods and they sent me their manual on the BH6000. Their website wasn't real clear on how the backhoe mounted. The manual they sent over details how the subframe is bolted on and the unit is mounted. Pretty impressive.

I'm glad you found what your looking for. Woods has all the operator and installation manuals on-line so it works pretty good.

The mounts and subframe are very substantial. You can have the mower deck
on at the same time also but the 3pt height adjustment can't be. (I would never mow with all that weight on back anyway).

My only 'nitpick' that I'm going to improve is the hose is a little tight
when the backhoe isn't mounted (The left side hose [male] plugs into
the right side Female quick disconnect). You Have to connect these whenever they aren't connected to the BH.

I have to position it just right so the
rockshaft arms don't grab it when I move the 3pt hitch up and down. I'm going to add about 1' to the hose to allow me to route it in a little safter position.

I wondered about that hose too, but I have not had any problems with it.

Do you have interference with the left bracket that mounts underneath? My mower linkage does not clear where it passes through the bracket. I cannot have the bracket and mower linkage on at the same time. I contacted Woods about it. They said they had only 1 or 2 complaints and that all others fit ok. They sent me another bracket, but it has the exact same problem.

If it's the linkage I think of (The Mower lift rod passes through it) It is fine for me. The dealer was worried but I have no problems.

I do however have to jack up my 2305 (With the front end loader) to get the gearbox on the 62" MMM to clear the subframe for the BH.

It ha s to be lifted without the backhoe frame too.

Actually, before I got the BH subframe I never had to lift the tractor, I'd just have to put the MMM height adjust in the highest position so the gearbox would clear the mower supports. Then drop them after I got it in place.
