Backhoe for L3200

Hey everyone,
I am looking for a used backhoe for my L3200 but it seems there are none to be had. Do most people just bite the bullet and get a new backhoe from Kubota? I'm thinking this may be my only option. I have seen some used older models but none come with the sub frame and I won't attach the backhoe any other way. What are your thoughts ? Thanks

I'm in a similar boat, although with significantly less need & likelihood of getting a hoe. I've seen several 3pt hoe's go for cheap recently on Craigslist. Thought about trying to fan up my own subframe & hoe attachment for them.

Quote from my dealer was about $8k for the Kubota hoe & subframe. Installed if I remember. To rich for my blood after I figured out my foundation was in fact not leaking.

If you are looking hard at one, Woods makes good gear & should have a proper subframe available for our L3200 as well. Should be several other good aftermarket options out there.

From what I hear it's not so much they don't work, it's that they break the 3pt or other parts on the back end as they can exert more force in different directions than the 3pt is designed for. Building your own subframe is suppose to take care of that issue as you shift the stress to the center of the frame where it's already designed to take the stress of a loader & what not.

Hard to go wrong with OEM. And ya, a hoe with a subframe is the right way.

Yes, a hoe with the subframe is the way to go. Then you don't have to worry. 3pt hitches were never intended to take the stress of tossing your tractor around when you operate the backhoe. 3pt hitches and the tractor frame are designed to pull, not to take forces in every other direction a backhoe dishes out.
