Yep... with 4-point undercarriage attachment frame! Pretty hard to beat that type of configuration! Very strong and stable. No danger of top-link damage found with the old-style of 3pt mounts.

Hard to imagine how the undercarriage frame would co-exist with a MMM attached though... Unless it's quite a bit shorter than the picture suggests.

Sorry to drive everybody crazy with these questions. I figure the only difference between me and Hosni Mubarak is that he had a heart attack, because of the uprising in Eqypt, but mine will be over a tractor purchase.

It is purported that Hosni Mubarak is a billionaire many times over...so you must be sitting pretty too!:laughing:

If that's the case, you could have me flown up there for consultation on your new purchase and representation at the sale.:thumbsup: I hear Maine is nice in the spring.

Yes Maine will be very nice if the spring ever gets here.
It's trying hard: temps keep popping up and then down.
Hope to be spring turkey hunting in about a week.

Maybe even a new tractor!

Bummer, I just bought a 46 last week. If I had known about this, I'd have happily waited for serial number 1. Coming from the 260 hoe on my 2305, the 46 is obviously a less modern design. The 260 was amazingly compact, easy to store, and a pure joy to mount and dismount. Oh well. Life is good.

It just amazes me how many time you read (or hear) this. Kind of makes you wonder if these dealers are on the same planet.:confused2:

While at the dealer today I asked if they had any information on the new 270 backhoe and got that strange look. I told him it's in the new series 2000 online brochure which stated a "summer 2011" availability. He wrote the information down I hope he is checking.
Later I sent him a photo and link. This time I don't think it's the dealers fault. It appears JD is dropping the ball and not informing the dealers.

Also sent an E-mail to JD asking for information delivery dates.

Sounds like the dealers have been told almost as much about the 270 backhoe as they have the 1023 and 1026 tractors!

As a follow up. Later today I received an E-mail from the dealer he asked the techs and one had gone to a training session last winter and there was small talk about the 270 backhoe. Also the information from JD was received Friday and opened today that informed the dealers about the new backhoe. Basically the same as the link that we had on here near the top of this post.
Still no date for sales, but if the dealer is finally getting paperwork I hope it's not far away.

I actually am waiting on my tractor now the I am buying, when I saw this thread I ran down to my dealer. No one knows when it is coming and how much yet, but I decided not to get the 46 until this 270 comes in.

It is not a 3pt backhoe, the 3pt is only used to lift the backhoe. At least according to the dealer. I think the little except about lifting with the 3 pt only goes as far as it can life the backhoe on to the tractor, after that I cannot see how the 3pt could be of any real use.

Wow! This thread has a lot of great information! I just took delivery of my 2520 3 days ago ! The 46 backhoe is on back order so I have emailed him to ask the questions on 270 model. Do any of you know if the specs are the same between the two? Thanks to all that have commented. It is a wealth of information! :thumbsup:
