I just bought a Woods 7500 backhoe used with a subframe.

It came off of a Kubota L3600.

Does anyone know what brackets or pictures of the mounting pieces to install this on a L3301?

I did get a couple pictures of the gentleman ‘s setup that it originally installed on(he went bigger) but can’t match those up with anything for a l3301 on the web.

Thank you

Who made that subframe? The one on my Kubota L3240 was much beefier.

You should be able to contact Kubota and purchase the backhoe subframe for your tractor without needing to buy a backhoe as well. The subframe should be able to be easily modified to accept the Woods backhoe.

I recently bought the same backhoe except mine has it's own pump and tank. Luckily mine came off another 2850 so all I had to do was make a couple of the smaller brackets. You dealer will have pictures of everything you need to mount it up.

Since it's a Woods backhoe, it is probably a Woods subframe. I wood talk to a Woods dealer.

There is where I would go.

I spoke to Woods and a local dealer and got a bit more information. It appears I have a model 9629 subframe. The 3301 calls for the different type that looks like two plates with one going up each side and a 4 point pin hookup in the back.
Trouble is that the earliest ship date is Feb 2019 and 1500 bucks plus shipping.
That would go a long way toward that plasma cutter from hyperthermia I’ve been eyeing!

I think I will use what I have and make the brackets I need. It looks straight forward with the exception of finding a piece of heavy walled tubing for the rear bracket support.IMG_0038.jpg the piece under the drawbar.

Can anyone give me any information or manuals link to how to plumb in the Woods BH7500 to the 3301Hst ?

I'm all for buy tools but for that rear mount piece it may be better to buy it and build the rest. I was lucky and that was the only bracket the guy managed to save with his.

Part 6 is what you need? I had to make parts 6 & 8.

It looks like I'll need to make 3 parts. Yours says Model 9265 while mine for some reason says 9269.

It says that there is a length difference of the main frame but the brackets have different part numbers so I assume different widths were made to accomodate the different tractors.

I would rather buy that rear piece but not sure if it's available for a 3301. Can you measure what thickness of metal your vertical pieces and round tubing of that rear brace is made of?

I'll check it when I go out later.

It looks like the side plates are made of 1/2" with 1/2" reinforcement squares, the tube looks to be 1/4".
If you need anything else give me a shout.

Hello, this sounds somewhat familiar. I bought a woods BH80X used backhoe back in June mine had the pto pump. And came with a 3pt hook up. I'll be honest I tried the 3pt very loose and sketchy! Then I called local woods dealer. my subframe for my tractor was expensive like 1,700. But I'll be honest it was the best call. I looked into having someone and me help weld one up but I didn't want to rig anything just because I do a lot of 3pt work and if something was to happen to me I wanted the backhoe to be a plus to sell and easy to sell! Ok now the worst it took my subframe 4months to be built and machine and ship to me yes all summer I had a new backhoe and couldn't use it! But when I got the new subframe it came with great directions and was a snap to install! And instructions included how to plumb in for backhoe hydrolics. Which I didn't need since I had pto pump.Just follow there instructions to a tee. And after using be sure to retighten all hardware. Ok hope this helps hopefully you got a good deal on the backhoe to make up for subframe. Also on my tractor model I didn't have to remove 3pt arms with the subframe mount! As with the factory Kubota's backhoe 3pt arms have to be removed! I'd go with a new subframe!

I’ve ordered the plasma cutter and collecting up bits for the subframe installation.

It looks like I have to make some 3/4”-1” holes in 3/8 and 1/2 inch thick steel for the subframe brackets.

Any recommendations on the type of drills to make the holes?
I have a drill press. That will slow down to 200 rpm and cutting fluid. And a set of Milwaukee bimetal holesaws.

So far the choices are

Plasma cut the holes.
Get a RotaBroach set
Hougen cutters
Use the holesaw I have
Get a carbide tipped set of hole saws

I’d like to make a one time purchase for the good stuff without going insane on cost for a home hobby fabricator.

I just use good quality bits from the local parts store, it's a small independent place. I have resharpened my bits to a bit lesser of an angle and I think they work better for me. I have a crappy Rigid drill press but, it has drilled a ton of holes. I just did some 1/2" holes in 3/8 plate at work with some Milwaukee bits and a cordless drill, they did great.

I think you're only option would be to drill the holes. You want to make sure the holes aren't too big or the brackets will have a tendency to loosen up and that will start to wreak havock with your mounting plates and where the bolts go into the tractor, you don't want to start snapping bolts off or cracking the mounting points on the tractor. The backhoe will put a tremendous amount of stress on the machine and your mounting brackets. Just take your time with your layout and get all the mounting holes in the correct spots.

Update.
I called and found out that I couldn’t get the brackets for the subframe I have. (9269)
So I asked about the proper 4 point mount for my L3301 Kubota.
Around 1800 bucks all in.
But delivery not till mid March. I asked the salesman about realistic deliveries and he said that honestly he has seen it take 5-6 months for Woods to deliver.
So. I will build one. With some research and some tips and threads I’ve read here, I’m sure it can be done. And somewhat better I believe by being custom fit.

I insulated my 24x24 garage over the holiday break and have some time home coming up so with a little heat, beer, and time, I’m sure I can get it built by the second week of March and only for 1799.00!

PS If anyone has photos of their mounts on the 2501/3301/3901s, I’m looking for ideas.
