Does this mean that the outriggers are lifting all four
wheels off the ground so the tractor is suspended by the the two outriggers and
the bucket?
My outriggers can do that, but I don't operate the backhoe that way. What I do is
pull both outrigger levers at once until the weight is removed from the rear tires,
but not off the ground. Pulling both levers at once equalizes the lifting force on
each side. When on uneven ground, I sometimes have one rear wheel off the
ground.
I have been able to lift the tractor's weight off the front wheels, too, if the FEL
bkt is down, but it has been unintentional. I sometimes forget that the FEL
bkt is down when switching seats.
Note that my outriggers are positioned quite close to the rear tires, perhaps
6-12 inches closer than the 2475/85 subframe allows. That puts my outrigger
forces closer to the center of gravity.
