Knute, you're getting some good advice & answers - and Brandi is right.
I had the same issue at first and got a good suggestion from my dealer (in an emergency - had to bury a horse with its teenage girl standing there sobbing) of how to release the pressure. Since then I just always let the BH completely down until every hyd circuit is totally equalized/unpressurized. Before undoing any QDs I make sure everything including 3-point is down all the way, float & return the loader & BH controls, and HST is in neutral. The 2 QD male/female BH lines get mated as soon as I pull 'em off the tactor, and the 3rd end goes into a baggie. Haven't had any pressure issues since, but it does take a little more fuss (like an extra minute?) to get the BH back up into mounting height. Since I drop the BH pretty frequently & all over the place, this still is faster than dragging blocks around... (Uhh, yes - it IS easier & faster on the slab!!)
