So...I'm in my local hangout last week and I hear a guy talking about this guy he's working for who told him to throw everything away in his old barn. He found a ARPS backhoe attachment that still worked so he took it home and put it up for sale. After a quick introduction, I was on my way over to his house on my tractor to pick it up! I got it for less than 1,500 and while it worked, the Hydraulic connections didn't fit my JD, so we had to chain it up so the arm didn't swing while I drove it the 4 miles home (see first pic). Then when I got the correct connections I burst a hose when I set my SCV lever wrong (haven't installed the PB ports yet). So you can see in the 2nd pic where I'm resting the bucket on my motorcycle lift since I can't retract the forward arm. I fixed the hose and got it all down on the ground today and have started removing the hoses and pistons. My plan is to strip it down, sand blast it and paint it JD green, then stencil 'John Neere' on the side...I just need to come up with a cool emblem beside the deere......
