Kioti nx6010 loader backhoe
I have a nx6010 with the factory backhoe attachment. My sub frame has cracked twice. Is anybody else having this issue? Any suggestions on a more permanent welding fix? 20190102_163440.jpg20190102_163447.jpgyt?

I have a NX5010. I haven't seen anything like this and I've dug out a number of stumps. The two possible causes that come to mind is 1) If you have a habit of not deploying the outriggers when you dig or 2) if the backhoe spends most of its time on the tractor and you have rough terrain that you drive over fast that subjects the frame to high loads.

You can weld over the fillet again then weld the crack, grind the bead flat and then weld a 3/16 thick plate centered over the crack. But this fix may not be that permanent unless you can figure out how the frame is being subjected to such high loads.

Weld it back up and plate it heavy.

HK45. Yes, we too had cracks in our Kioti Backhoe subframe. That little backhoe is fantastic, but I finally realized, that it was just a light duty attachment, not a full sized backhoe. Weld the cracks and add a little metal (where there should have been some in the first place), and be gentle. AWSubie is right. Watch the OutRiggers. If they sink, re position.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking maybe because my rear tires we're loaded mite cause it. I do leave it on a lot so maybe with the loaded tires and the stress of bouncing around. I

I have found that for those who have experienced cracking issues on the 2478/2485 frame, that's exactly where their's cracked.

A quick reminder, as failure issues are addressed on the backhoe frame, the next potential weak spot becomes the tractor housing itself. The thickness of the casting and depth of the bosses are the next potential failure point. Proper outrigger use is a must but I wonder if a support brace off the top link would be effective too?

Fifteen years (and counting) of service from my New Holland frame mounted BH and still Rock solid.
Is it a full sized excavator? No. Does it beat a shovel? Hands down.

Go to the local CAT dealer,,
find a similar looking joint on a piece of CAT equipment.

The CAT will have the joint properly fish plated, just copy it.

Thanks for all the help I will pass on to my buddy about the fish plateing.

Please post photos of its repairs. If your buddy does it right, it shouldn't break there again. Seems they didn't build that section right it the first place.

Surprise, surprise....it cracked where they welded cross ways where all the force pulls on the steel. Weld on the length...not across it.
