Backhoe backhoe subframe issue

I own a 3130 and need a backhoe. The local dealer first mentioned the bh75 size backhoe because he initially thought the bh95 was too big - but then, after looking at the kubota specs, he found that the only subframe for the 3130 was for the bh95. Also, including the loader that I have to buy, it's going to cost around $15k (including tax) turn key. My question is whether the bh95 is pushing the 3130's limits to the extreme and if the price seems a little stiff.

For 15K I think I'd look into a separate used machine that already has the equipment you need....

A loader is typically about $6k and a BH is about $9K so the price is in line. A used machine with both might be hard to find for $15K.

Used prices are so good now that I would not consider buying the backhoe for your 3130.

As background am using a B21 to prepare a 4 acre previously wooded home site with lots of rocks and 640' of electrical trenching.

My preferred options would probably be to buy a FEL for the 3130 and a used mini excavator. I bet you can get a used mini x for around the price of the backhoe attachment. The mini x will be easier to use and more capable.

Alternately I would buy a used more industrial TLB, a B20, B21 or L35. You certainly could get a good condition B20 or B21 with FEL and Backhoe for less than $15K. You might be able to find a L35 in the budget.
