Backhoe with no power

Greetings! I'm new here and a newbie to using a PTO pump. I purchased a LW-6A backhoe from Titan and have it connected to the tractor via a PTO pump. Hooked everything up but nothing happens. Checked specs for backhoe to pump and all are within specs. Where do I start? Thanks for any suggestions!

enough hydraulic fluid in tank?
pump might be air locked, loosen discharge pump fitting to allow air to bleed out.

Not sure what you have or have not checked, so this may sound ridiculous but first thing I'd check:

- The PTO is engaging on the tractor and turning the pump
- You have plenty of hydraulic fluid in the tank.
- The pump is turning in the proper direction.

So far so good on all mentioned items. Tried bleeding the lines but with the line disconnected we get fluid blowing out of the filler top. Hook it back up and that stops.

You sure the pump is not on backwards? If you take a line off and try to bleed it but it blows fluid from the filler, that seems like its pumping backwards to me. Does anything come out of the disconnected line?

Arrow indicator on the pump itself is indicating the proper rotation. When the line is disconnected there is a flow, but not very strong.

Here's our setup.

Hoses are not connected properly. The out from the pump should go to the Pressure port of the control valve. The line from the tank should go to IN on the pump.

Just disconnecting the hoses at the pump and rotating the pump so the body is down, reconnect the hoses and you're good to go.

I believe PTSG has the correct response on lines being connected wrong. On a gear pump the oil flows around the out side of the gears from in to out.
