Anyone have any experience with a subframe mounted backhoe on a 2810?
If so, did you like it, and did you find it powerful enough?
I saw a backhoe at a Mahindra dealer the other day that mounted on the 3 point, but it didn't look too powerful after seeing the subframe mounted one at another dealer.
Any comments welcome. I think I'm close to making a decision. I really liked the looks of these machines. They look solidly built.

Welcome to TBN!

I sell tractors, including quite a few with backhoe attachments. I would draw a line in the sand on this issue and only buy a subframe mounted hoe.

Either a 3265 or a 3375, depending on your needs. The 3375 digs deeper and has more power, but also costs more. Both mount very nicely and are quick to remove or install. As for power, they have about all the tractor can handle. Much more power and you'll just pull the tractor into the hole you are digging.

Hi welcome to tbn. I shopped mahindra and two dealers recommended sub frame mount and only one recommended an independent pump. Now I think this applies to all tractors, but apparently with some of the front to rear rocking/ bouncing tractors risk damaging their transmission with the possibility of ripping the top point off of the 3pt hitch transmission assembly. The sub frame from what I can see prevents sway and allows you to put more weight on your stabilizer pads. Hope this helps.

Judy, Most of your tractor manufactures will not warranty their tractor with a 3pt. backhoe on them, and Mahindra is one of them.
I would suggest that you use the subframe.
As for the tractors hydraulics running the backhoe it will do just fine, but if you want to dig more agressive a pump kit will allow you to do that /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll second what Dave said: go with the subframe, both the 3265 and 3375 make a great addition, we have customers with both and no complaints, if you want a little more power, reach and digging power go with the 3375. All depends on what your going to do with it.

Thanks for the responses. I hope to be buying a Mahindra (2810) and attachments this week.

By, the way, I really liked Muhammad's book and recommend it to anyone not already very familiar with compact tractors.
