Here live skid steer is quite rare, do you need more than what a tractor can deliver they use things like this

And hobbyists use tractors.

Pricing out backhoe's for my DK40SE and so far nothing south of $9K. Priced out Woods, Bush Hog and the Kioti. Problem with the Kioti is finding the subframe for the tractor. Since they don't make the DK40SE anymore it seems they are not making the subframe anymore. Looked for used but haven't found nothing at all and I would still have the subframe issue of getting one that fits. Looks like maybe renting a small excavator for when I need one might be the solution but that's not as fun as having one right there when you need it.

Buy a used mini ex. Way more useful than a backhoe.

I think now that I have my M7060, I just might have bought an M62 instead had I known. I still love the heck out of my M7060 though. maybe I'll buy one in a few years.

They both have thier place but the mini is definitely not as handy to have a a backhoe in my experience.

I've been out here in "stick city" for 37+ years now. Thank God - when I bought my new Kubota M6040 - I had enough experience to know I would never use a backhoe attachment. Should I ever need a backhoe - I will hire a contractor. They are way to expensive for "occasional" use or as counter weight on the 3-point.

I'm sure the manufacturers are happy to see that many have sufficient use to justify the purchase.
