Backhoes for bx2200

I might be wrong but from what I have read in previous posts............the 2200's frame is not "beefed up" to accept a backhoe the same way as compareable BX22-23 0r 24 series which are specifically designed for one. While I'm sure that the tractor would initially seem to work fine ...I'm not sure what the added stress would do to the frame in the long term. If it were me I would look for a used BX22 which IS designed for the backhoe....just my opinion.

Rosey,
There are 2 types of aftermarket BH's you can add... One is the kind that attaches to the 3PT hitch - those are bad and cause bad things to happen... The other included a sub-frame assembly - essentially giving the same support and structure as the factory installed sub-frame on the BX22,23,24.

You are correct about the frames on the 22, 23, and 24 being beefed up to handle the back hoe. I imagine that this is why Kubota doesn't offer them as an add on for the other BX series models. The Woods BH6000, however, comes with additional frame supports that are added to the tractor in order to address this issue. No doubt this is one of the features that adds to the cost and installation time.

Take the Woods installation instructions out to a BX22, 23, or 24 and compare. I did it with a BX22, and it appears as if Woods adds much of the same steel reinforcements that Kubota does in those models. It seemed to me that Woods used a BX22 or 23 as its model in designing the BX6000's subframe.
