I have a B26 with no cab, as of yet. I am looking for a backup camera system. So, what brand? what size monitor? what degee of viewable angle is needed? what should I expect to spend? do they make a waterproof monitor and do I even need one? Thanks

What would you use it for? I was considering one for a rear snowblower.

I highly agree. I was think of buying a Frontier Loader Mounted. But I picked up this Fisher Blade from our neighbors for free, in return i have to plow their driveway, but still good deal. I would be interested in a rear mounted snow blower but, i don't want to have to look over my shoulder.

You may have trouble keeping blowing snow off the lens and monitor with no cab.

Please look at the $99.00 wireless unit from JC Whitney;

The LED screen stays cold so thats not an issue.

You can buy very wide and tall west coast truck mirrors

reasonably as well from JC Whitney too.

The wireless license plate camera and mounting bracket is designed to be outside

in the weather.

autozone has one also

My plan exactly. It has got to be better then looking over your shoulder.

Where in NY are you? I know that upstate gets alot of snow. I think having a Blade on the front of the FEL and snow blower on the rear is the best of both worlds. With the blade on the FEL i can switch between the bucket and plow in 3 minutes, which allows me to move snow if i need it.

On sale for $79 BUT look at the size of the screen
PEAK Wireless Back-Up Camera w/ 2.4" Screen

Pretty small screen, without a cab and or during the day in snow conditions it may be difficult to see. Would hate to have too look at the screen while backing up a 500' driveway.:(

I'm in rockland county, just 10 minutes north of the Tappan Zee bridge. No record snow falls, but it still has to be cleaned up. I am thinking about putting a plow on also, but I would like to be able to angle it hydraulically and with the FEL set up, I don't think thats possible.

Hey did you consider the rear mounted snow blower, that you pull foward instead of backing up? Looks good, but not sure how well it would work with my B26. You wouldn't have a problem considering all the ground clearance your 4320 has. You should look into it. http://www.quickattach.com Kind of expensive, but they last a lifetime (so I'm told)

I would be more concerned with the camera lens having snow build up thus sending no viewable video. Mostly when I do CCTV systems in an area where snow/blowing snow maybe an issue I have to add a heated enclosure to help keep the lens clear.
Good luck

I know exactly where that is, my dad works at the Con Edison Substation 'Orange and Rockland' my 4320 is even there sometimes to move things.

I never did after i saw one. My 4320 could probably handle it but i wouldn't want to have to drive through the snow. Actually you could probably use a blade on the front. I am using the Fisher Hydraulic system that is used on pick ups for the angle.

Does your seat rotate? My old Kubota did not, but my HN TC40D has the seat that can rotate to either side. Not like 90 degrees, but enough to give you a better view without a crook in your neck while looking behind the tractor.

My plan exactly. It has got to be better then looking over your shoulder.

I use a backup camera system on my skid steer mulcher that i think you would like. It is a all metal housing unit with black and white monitor 4", and night vision with a microphone built in so you can hear the person around you. That helps me when im in the cab and cant really get out at the time. I have had it on there for 2 years and have had no problems. If you are intrested, i can find out the price tomorrow. I think it was around 200 dollars.

So you have a plow hooked to your FEL and you have the ability to angle it hydraulically? Do you have any pics?

I know what you mean about driving through the snow. Packing the snow down, makes it that much more difficult to pick up. Anyway I love snow, the more the better. More snow = bigger tractor. Hey, life is to enjoy

Yes my seat does rotate, but I don't think there is any room on the side to fit my legs. I will look into it tomorrow, but I doubt it. Thanks

Sorry I don't have any pics as of yet. Yes the blade is mounted to the FEL. I had a fabercator make a special mount. Do you know how the hydraulics work on a pickup truck? There is a lift and an angle that is run off a hydraulic pump with is powered by the battery. So in the fabercation there is still a place for the hydraulic pump, even though I took the headlight assembly off. Now I mounted an extension on my joystick with the plow angle control so I am able the operate the angle and loader at the same time.

That sounds like a great setup. If you could post some detailed pics I would really appreciate it.
