Jim - for the VA here in Durango and surrounding area, they have a local coordinator that helps resolve problems, arrange appointments and even transportation to ABQ New Mexico where the VA is. I can give him a call and see if he knows someone there. My wife worked with him and she said there are several programs, including outside resources to help resolve issues such as you dealing with. Its sad to me how they treat you. As to the surprises you have had recently, there are a lot of good people out there.
I hope the Holidays treat you well
Keith
Please have her make the call. Folks here just roll their eyes & shrug when ask about a coordinator. They have no understanding that not everyone lives in town.
Other than that they are doing fairly well. Not thrilled with primary care Dr. But will give her a little more time before asking for a change.
The streets, parking lots & so on look like they were laid out by a drunk on a dark night. Only 2 streets go almost direct to where they should. Old entrance & emergency almost direct. They have 92/3 building with 2 or 3 floors & its hard to find out where what is or which floor. Best 2 just park some place & let the tram ( electric golf cart ) take me where I need to go.
Think I have an appointment with urology on the 16th at 2 PM will have to call & see if I am correct, which building. Would not be the first time things were not what I thought.
The place is fixed real beautiful. Rock work nice paving, gardeners working all the time. That is very nice, but I wonder if it would have been better if the $$ were spent on health care.
Other than the kiss's I mentioned, last trip was pretty much a waste. Back brace hurts more than it helps, no pain pills, ( I was going to pick them up in town, but that did not work, some did not have them & 1 wanted $121 for them.) No wheel chair, don't really want or need it. Then Dr. said how about a walker, not really need, but learned it has a seat. Easier to push around & can sit down to do what ever. Once down have trouble getting back up.
Have a poem about "Christmas in a Line Shack", have spent a little time in line shacks, but never Christmas. It should bring a tear to your eye. Think scanner & lamp are good, just can't find the plug they go too, will try again.
Brandy by the time they hang down to her knees, that will be about as high as I can lift my eyes.
Though some of you would have something to say about JT & the other funnies.
Every now & then I think it might be nice to have a lady friend to meet for coffee, lunch or a drink. But just a little thought & dawns on me what a pain in the the butt that would be.
Have Bony & Bobby & that's enough lady friends for me. Bony is hard too love, pain much of the time, but lovable at the same time..
Didn't kill the pork shoulder but came close.. The more it gets cooked the worse it gets. Now is mutt
Actually get more down without help than with it. Have 2 things to do, that I will need some help, after that it makes no difference. Will never tell Dough that. Couple of days ago a skid plate on his truck was coming off. By the time I found the bolts, wrenches, ramps & so on, most of the morning was gone. Yesterday ask him if he tightened up the other bolts. Nope. Next time he shows up, going to hand him the wrench & let him go to it. While I try to do something else.
Got door installed & a temp panel to fill the gap. No help.

Las big heat loss I will need some help with. Could possibly do it my self, but don't want to ruin the ply panel that fills the gap. Managed to break the little window to look at the flag through. Not a problem have another 1 a little bigger that will work. Need to get some electric things, light for flag, outlets on deck & so on.
Once i am sure truck will be reliable I plan to sell things on E-Bay. Got to have some more $$ coming into this place. Not my favorite thing to do, but so what.
About the only things I enjoy any more are the birds, mutts, getting something accomplished, even enjoy giving things away.
Ken I marked on map where some of the folks around here are. Farm about 6 miles long & about 2 miles wide. Map is a little distorted but fairly close. Will get the stuff mailed next trip after the 21st. Be the best $10 you ever spent.
More crabbing & complaining later.

8:29 Am time for a beer. :laughing::thumbsup:
