Bad mouthing a Kioti?

I tell our salespeople, "You can treat the customer like he is smart, or like he is stupid. If you treat him like he is stupid and he is stupid, you might get an order. If you treat him like he is smart, and he is stupid, you might lose an order. If you treat him like he is stupid and he is smart, he will never do business with you again. And if you treat him like he is smart and he is smart, you will have a customer for life. Who do you want to do business with?"
+1 My Kioti dealer was the first one that treated me well and offered a reasonable price right off the bat, so I bought from them.

I just clocked up 100hrs on my Kioti last night and so far I've not had any issues. On other post I mentioned the higher costs of products here and considering I was using money kept aside for my wife car upgrade I was very careful how I spent it. I checked all the main brands including the Chinese ( though I never intended to go that way) just to make sure I made a considered purchase. Non of the dealers bad mouthed Kioti. The Chinese guys were pretty full on with everything though I found it hard to get away, then spammed by regular emails and follow ups. In the end it was Kioti for me, I know Korean steel is excellent, and I like that everything is in house. I did like the drive of the other main brands but found them comparable with the Kioti. I also needed a slasher and a 4 in1 bucket which pushed my budget to the limit. The Kioti dealer was excellent and even though he sells main brand tractors (larger) he spent time in going through everything in detail with me. There was no pressure and was happy for me to make my own mind up. He chucked in a counter balance for free without even asking if I needed it. When the first service cam up he recommended that I do it ( no warranty) issues and then gave me the filters for free. Some have suggested that the aftermarket price is low on the Kioti and I would tend to agree. However I don't plan on selling it for a very long time and my wife has made it pretty clear that she's up for a new car when the bank balance gets back to normal. After spending a lot of years on an old Fordson with no seat padding I could be forgiven that any tractor with a comfortable seat was nice. P.S the 4in1 bucket has held up well, I've moved a lot of large rocks and it's gone through a fair bit of punishment and no signs of issues there. I couldn't find any data on whether it is Q&T steel but suggest it's likely based in the result so far. I might knock in some teeth though, I guess I'll find out when I drill it.

I've idled my M9 Kubota more than that just keeping the cab cool. How about 5000 hours on the clock and no issues at all. My tractors farm, they don't play at wannabe farming. Come back when you do 5K hours and report.

Well I'm sure your tractors were at 100 hours once! Who said I was trying to be a wannabe farmer. Why don't you go back to the Kubotas forum rather than trash talking here!

M9's are a whole different series and grade of tractor. Sitting and light use can be hard on a tractor too. Depending maybe more so than full time use. So others should post low hours if they have had them a while. Time of ownership and experience is always good info.

By the way I really dislike a salesman that plays on name brand alone. Quality is in materials, craftsmanship, and designs not paint color and decal names.

Those colors reflect materials, craftsmanship, and design, hence the discussion. Old designs built in old factories are not going to compete with modern CAD models made in dedicated robotic factories. HS

I seem to remember back when Kubota sued Kioti for trade dress infringement and won a settlement, in as much as Kioti was purchasing obsolete tooling from Kubota and using it to make a similar line.....

Personally, I have no ill will toward Kioti and if the produced a tractor with sufficient PTO power to farm with, I'd buy on in a heart beat. They don't yet, but may....

Far as any new tractor thats Tier 4 Final compliant, I don't want any of them but of all the brands available, only Kubota and Kioti aren't DEF dependent. They both use DPF and egr rather than injected urea as a catalyst. I prefer Tier 3 or 4 Interem, the less emissions hardware, the better and none is best, why used tractors command a high price, at least ag capable ones.

Far as the comment from DKVince, any A.H. that looks down on farmers needs ask theirselves.... where does my food come from?.......DUH. What a idiot.

Mate woopee, so your a farmer, I think you need to get a life rather than trash talking here. There are plenty of legitiment reasons for owning compact tractors they all have a use. Rather than stirring the pot and inciting conflict why don't you add value to the topic with your vast food producing and tractor experience...ya nob!
