Bad mouthing a Kioti?

Yeah, your right CM, it was just a cheap shot I should not have taken (although it was an interesting book). I apologize for that. As far as Hiroshima, I actually did meet General Tibbits, who dropped the bomb and he rightfully wasn't apologizing.

No problem, I think it was more a HS thing- I know he can get me going too...:confused2::confused3:

I own a bunch of old JD farm implements and had to order parts through JDs website. I was actually surprised I could still find parts for my 1950's planter through them. It wasn't cheap but figured if they are keeping inventory of an obsolete planter than getting parts for my tractor for years to come shouldn't be an issue.

That hasn't proven true with a number of Deere tractors....mostly those made outside of the U.S.

"One told me it's like "comparing a Kia to a Cadillac""

Should have told him, "**** I'd take the Kia" LOL.

LS has to share a forum with a bunch of others including my Ventrac. I don't live in S Korea, do you? Do you even have proof of sales commander?

LS actually overshadows Daedong in annual revenue....not even close, and second only to Deere last time I looked. I don't think having a dedicated forum means all that much. The NH section has almost no new tractor purchase threads, but they have their own forum....on the other hand the LS section has boatloads of new purchase threads. I'm a huge fan of Kioti tractors, but I doubt their annual sales numbers approach what LS does on a worldwide basis. I think I recall that the LS/NH agreement was for about as many machines as Kioti sells in a year, but that's just going off memory.

Never heard of LS. Made in Slobovia maybe?

Nope...S. Korea. Al's implement in Newport is an LS dealer now....just up the road from you. I'm in Monroe County as well...mailing is a Belleville for some crazy reason (no post office here).

I don't own a Kioti or an LS for that matter. Lots of members own both and lots of members are very happy with both. Korean companies are right up there with any these days and I would consider both brands if I were in the market and if I had a decent dealer nearby. They tend to be in the lower HP range is probably the only hold back at this point. In a few years that will change would be my guess.

This is like reading a sandlot "my dad can beat your dad" argument. I had a choice of a number of "compact" tractors from Deere and Kubota and Kioti and others. I went with a CK30 Kioti for my needs and as we all know not everyone uses an implement the same way. The Kioti is well built, has an outstanding warranty (4 years) and is one tough tractor. I could have spent a few bucks more and gone CK35 HST but I didn't see the need for my use. Front end loader, box blade, brush hog and eventually the back hoe (probably sooner than later). I've gone over every inch of the tractor and attachments and found quality and more bang for the buck, for my land, than the competition.

I belong to a "Brand Name" firearm forum and to be honest they bicker over brands and what is more accurate and/or better made but it's usually contained to a few pages and then "peters out". I believe as the competition sees market share falling they will do a better job on QC, perhaps offer more for less money and throw in better incentives or longer warranties to get the product to market. We all buy a certain brand for a number of reasons, mine was utilitarian and economic driven but always with a quality product in mind.

He's right. The Kioti is better value, has better resale, lower operating costs and is more reliable, just like the Kia.

I had an 2008 Escalade and a 2005 F150. When given a choice i drove the F150 and so I got rid of the Escalade.

I do miss the heated steering wheel though.

There's your first mistake...you bought a FORD (no offense) but I've been A Chevy guy since 1965 and the Corvair Monza...one brief interlude to a Dodge Charger (1970) loved that beast...but can't take the man out of his Silverado.....no sir ;-)
