I hit a stump brush hoggin and the shear pin didn't shear. Every still works, but now there's a definite broken or chipped gear sound from the drivetrain. I idled it slow to the ban and parked it. Thoughts on what it may be,and if it's likely worth fixing? At this point I'd be happy to get her going again even if the PTO is in operable. Any experience that could be shared would be greatly appreciated. Ym 220d

Note the sound is from the tractor not the brush hog in case I was unclear on that

Is this sound only when the pto is engaged or constant? making the noise while idling in neutral? Making the noise only when moving? need more detail.

Are you using a Overrun clutch? That would be a good place to look if so.
