ZZVYB6, Can you explain a little more in depth for the dummy in the room?
Are you saying that in my case I do need to maintain the factory positioning. Keeping the gearbox input parallel with the tractor output?
Another question:
I thought about hitting up a drive shaft shop to see if they can build me a new shaft/yoke setup. If they can do it would it be beneficial to use CV joints instead of U Joints? Just thinking out loud here.

Bad news from Messicks. All of the parts for my PTO shaft are discontinued from Kubota.

I discovered the same situation regarding discontinued parts earlier this summer.

My Kubota RC72R-F30 deck in F3060 mower uses Weasler Engineering Series 6 drive shaft parts and I was able to find drive shaft repair shop who is Weasler dealer nearby where I live.
They made me all new drive shaft for just over $400 and it works great.

Afterwards I went ahead and ordered another set of parts from online dealers and built another PTO shaft out of Weasler parts, just to have a spare shaft.

My mower has very similar setup as you have, and looks like may have the same Superior 90 degree gearbox with offset mounting like you have.
The PTO shaft had served the previous owner about 3500 hours so I would suggest just getting it repaired and stick with the original design!

Nothing wrong with the OEM Superior gearbox in my mover, but I wanted to eliminate the shear bolt yoke setup in the gearbox end and will have a keyway machined into the input shaft. I also wanted to have a spare gearbox since it only cost about $140

They are easy to find on the eBay.
