That looks like a nice setup. I would have liked to have something like that for my B3030 but Kubota still doesn't have a factory bagger for it. I ended up making my pull type vacuum into a 3PTH mounted unit. I am very pleased with how it turned so now I won't need a Kubota unit, although it would be nice to be able to run it with the rear PTO instead of the Briggs & Stratton. In your picture #2 it shows some air vents in the front of the plastic collector attached to the mower. Do you know why those are there? I have never seen those on any other setup before and am wondering what the reasoning behind it is. I would add something like that to mine if I thought it would improve the performance of the system.

Here is a pic of my rig.

Toolguy, I must say that's an awesome setup - it really looks ingenious!

The BX2200 bagger also has the slots in the deck adapter, haven't figured out why they're there either, sure made a lot of changes in the new bagger, is that belt drive, and it sets closer to the rear of the tractor, do you have pics of the attachment to the tractor?

Thanks, CWB.

Perhaps the air vents are there to help move the material out of the "dead air" pockets in the collector. I can see how that may work to improve the air flow in the collector to keep it from clogging. I have that problem with mine with wet grass. Just this week I fabricated a peice of 1/8" steel plate inside the deck opening to direct the material flow more rearward. I was having a problem with grass in the front of the collector not getting sucked into the blower. It was falling back on the ground a little. If my deflector plate doesn't work as well as I hope it will I may put a few holes in the front of the collector to see if that helps.

Well, I answered my own question yesterday. I put a couple of 1 1/2" holes in the front of my collector and it made a difference in the amount of grass that collects there. When I was done mowing I noticed that there was still some grass in that area so I put another hole in the collector. Now there are three holes and they are in the same location as the factory unit, just without the fancy louvered holes. I am glad I saw your pics. I never would have thought that holes in the collector would add to it's efficiency. It just goes against logic, I guess.

Clippings do collect, and quite a bit, in the vent area - I use a blower after mowing to clean out that area. There is a steel deflector under the plastic housing that helps deflect clipping into the chute. It is about 4"x4" and closes off a portion of the discharge - I would guess to force a greater air flow to the chute.

Glad the pics helped you out,
Curt

The model number for the B3030 bagger is GCK60-24B - its the same bagger used for the B7510,7610,7800,2910,2710 and B2630. It fits and works well. Really, its not a great piece. Kubota is redesigning it and will have a replacment by next spring.

I have a B7610 with the 54" mower and the bagger and am very happy with the blower. It mounts directly on the mower so there ins't a suction issue as with rear mounted blowers. It's great with grass clippings and with leaves. The blower and colector come off easy in a couple of Min. When you engage it and run it up to full speed it sounds like a F22 Raptor. I mow with ear protectors.

Yup, that's the same exact setup I had. It's the black hose on top that completely rotted out on me. Also, I never felt that the lower hose/chute fit that well. Glad to hear it's working well for you.

Have you tried removing it from the tractor? I couldn't believe how heavy it is.
