You are right Jim, actually what I planned to do was to dismantle one or two wood palettes, take all the slats off and cross brace the exterior of box many different ways. I would then put the box on a pallet secured with screws and such to beef up the bottom of the box too. The mix is going to be left over from foundation wall pour. I just leave the pallet next to the house foundation and have them empty leftover concrete in to the box rather than on the site. I use a trowel and I level the concrete off and leave the pallet where it is for a week and then take off the form and put it in my burn pile. I'll vibrate it some to let it burp good. I'd probably chamfer the concrete edges by adding properly cut 45 degree cut wood pieces to the corners.
