You must be getting it to the point where the angle is too much for the u-joint on the PTO. Maybe you can rig something up to let you know where to stop lifting it when the PTO is running.

Good thought, crazyal, and in fact I believe I have a dial on the tractor to limit the height of the rear 3 point hitch, which I had already thought of using.

Case closed - thanks for the feedback TBNers!:thumbsup:

About your blower;

I would check the snowblowers parts drawing to see if this is a filler port for the gear box as it is a splash lubrication system and the oil level should be below the lip of the bolt hole of if this is the filler hole

You should have allen plugs in the blower casting to drain it and fill it. you will have to wirebrush some paint off to see them.

You will need a small set of metric allen wrenchs and metric box end spanners/wrenches.

As was mentioned in an earlier post you might want to extend your top link a bit.
At the start of the season when I have the top link on my unit shortened up to build a base on the gravel,I get a banging at full lift. (BX 2200/60" Buhler/Allied)
When I reset the link for the rest of the season the noise is gone.

Hey, Dan, sounds like a potential solution. Will try it out.

I would check with your dealer or "a" dealer about this as it should have a drain simply because the casting or machined parts has 2 pieces-if that fails call customer service at RAD in Canada.
