Same on the bar oil, run down to Madsen's pick it up. They usually have a pretty good price on it. I'll have to check out the pre mix next time i'm there.


My daughter bought a chainsaw, and a can of pre-mix gasoline.
She used the saw once, the pre-mix sat in the garage for over 5 years.

I brought the pre-mix home, and had it on a shelf, I was going to use it to light a brushfire,,,

Well, I had a small gas engine that would not start,, I knew I needed to prime the engine,, I remembered the pre-mix,,

I tossed a little premix in the carb, the engine started right up!! WOOT!!
It was sure easy using that small can of gasoline,, and it was perfect for starting that engine!!

Don't have a clue what Stihl uses for stabilizer but it sure looks like Marine Stabil. I do know the red stinky stuff is worthless.

I top off all my tanks in the fall and in the spring, they all fire tight up.

I just use the 15w40 drain oil that I have, works like a charm
