If it's still the heavy duty metal top they had a few years ago, it's great. We found it to be a great portable scaffold when building my brother's house, putting up rain gutters, and pruning trees.

The top on my 550 Mule is 1/4" sheet plastic. We have a plastics recycle plant just up the road, they will sell any number of 4x8' sheets you want, in a variety of thicknesses. I keep some 1/8" & 1/4" white & black on hand, good for lots of uses!

I agree, John. Eddies Mom can now go places she would probably never attempted to go before. That was the way with my wife. I bought her the Mule before we got married and she used it to go all over her place like she had never done before. The Mule or something like it is really a freedom machine for country living. It removes a lot of barriers.:thumbsup:

Last year they passed a law that allows people to drive ATV and UTV,s on the road here in northern Mich. If the weather is nice wife and I take the Mule to go to the store or where ever in the summer. I am really glad that I bought this machine now as it is a workhorse and it has a lot of other uses. Many days we just go for a ride and take the dog along>

Way to go, Eddie :thumbsup:. You will get lots more use out of the Mule than you would from a golf cart. That is, if your mom will ever let you drive it.

Nice shots of the transition from cargo to passengers in the back seat Eddie. You're gonna love having the roof when you take the Mule into the woods to work. Stuff that will drop down out of trees now will be stopped by the roof. of course, rain also is not as big a problem. I hope the roof comes in soon. I think you'll also want a windshield before it is all said and done. They aren't expensive and you'll know after this winter and a few rain storms whether you want the windshield. Having one as a windbreak sure makes wet or winter rides more fun.
