We have a barn that dates back to the 1850's. While the structure was sound, the siding wasn't. I found a very good Amish builder that is removing the old siding and replacing with rough cut hickory. They have more to do on the outside and they are also going to make a set of stairs from the upper part to the lower part. I've been really impressed with the quality of the work and you could not meet a nicer group of people.

It's been really fun to watch the transformation and can hardly believe that it's the same barn. With this work and the work we did sealing the foundation, I think it'll be good for at least another 150 years.
