Basic firewood rack.

Here is my version.

I use these for my drying areas as well as under the deck for my winter storage. 6 landscape timbers, 5 cinder blocks, no nails or screws and can put them together in about 2 minutes. Plus when i empty a rack i can move it all out of the way and stack the blocks up. They keep the wood off the ground, stack out about 16'long and i go about 4'high.

I'm wondering if one side could be notched or otherwise have a section or part or the side removed for access?

The openings all around the tote allow you to reach the wood to raise it up over the top or just pull it through the sides.

I have to say so myself. He sure has it set up nice and easy.

I wanted something I could move around without assemby/dissasembly.

I do like them better than using t-posts, or cribbing the ends and they take down and set up nice and easy. And they can easily be made into 8' racks instead. The only downfall is moving from the drying area to the winter use/storage area. But i wouldn't want to try to move a whole pallet with my little kioti anyhow. So i use the trailer and just have to re stack. Another nice thing is the timbers are about the same cost as treated 2x4's in this area and the box stores usually put them on sale every spring. Lowes here just had them at 1.87 a piece so i stocked up.

Getting good at this. Built two mor 10'ers. Only change is I made the feet are 24" instead of 18" and I'm using stainless steel #10 construction screws.
