If it works, this could be a game changer...

Don't hold your breath though...

It does say the cable is only one piece of the puzzle. I think the batteries would need to be able to accept the higher current and every charging station would nee high current and liquid cooling.
the Liquid cooling seems like a show stopper due to cost.

Elon Musk has been saying this for years. We know where we want to go but we are not there yet.

This reminds me of when ***** tried fixing healthcare. Once doctors, big insurance and big pharma started screaming, that’s how you knew we were on the right track (even though he ultimately failed, but that’s for a different thread).

When emission controls were mandated in the 70s the automakers threw a tantrum saying it was impossible and would put them out of business, but really they only complained because it required them to change. Now it’s big oil’s turn because change has come for them, and nothing is more terrifying and hated than change. When you hear big oil pushing FUD and screaming about how impossible that change will be, it‘s a good sign we’re on the right track.

I am interested to learn how super high-speed internet on a smart phone will work in the field for remote property insurance adjusters.

Rolls Royce battery powered air flight it reached a speed of 345.4 mph and you can read about it here www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/news/19736178.rolls-royce-tests-super-plane-wiltshire/
A couple more articles about the EV airplane:
400 kW (535 HP), 750 volt motor. Rolls-Royce said it uses the "most power-dense propulsion battery pack ever assembled in aerospace," with 6,480 cells.
As Engadget detailed in an explainer, electric airplanes aren't practical since current batteries are 50 times less energy dense than jet fuel. However, they do hold some promise for very short trips, like a 30 minute jaunt between Vancouver and Victoria in Canada.

If Tesla was releasing a phone, a built-out Starlink constellation would be a prerequisite. It will be entertaining to watch as Amazon enters the same space. It’s like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object in the race to disrupt Internet and cellular service as we know it today.

A few years back, we had several years of drought in Northern WI. The deer count was down, so the DNR reduced the number of doe tags available. A few of the local good ol boys responded as follows:

"The DNR screws up everything. It don't even rain right anymore."
