Battery powered grease gun recommendations?

I ended up getting the Milwaukee 18v. Good unit! Loads up easy, well made, and the air purge button works.
Couldn’t wait any longer on Makita to release theirs- so I got the battery adapter from Amazon.
Makita batteries in my Milwaukee.
Used it on my truck with the Lock n
Lube- worked as advertised!

Haven’t used it on the tractor yet.
( It’s still strapped to trailer I brought it home on )

I've been debating getting A Milwaukee M18 grease gun. Does it have the fitting to refill from a bulk grease tank?

Yes it will bulk load through a coupler. Also will suction load.
So far I have only used tubes.

I've used my Dewalt and the Lock N Lube several times now and like everyone else wonder why I hadn't gotten this set up long before. It is so much nicer, especially for those hard to get to zerks. I can't compare with other brands without using them, but the cordless set up with a locker is awesome. Definitely worth the $$.

I love my LnL but since I only have one tractor and a riding mower, I am having a hard time seeing why I can't continue to manually squeeze the handle. Granted I have never used a pneumatic or battery op greaser, but it seems I would still have a lot more control using my own grip and squeeze and not make a mess if the zerk isn't 'taking'.

Just how many zerks per week does it take to make sense to move to the luxury of a battery op greaser? Thinking this is really only for 'professionals'. :D

Up until recently, I thought the same way as you, trying to justify the cost of an electric greaser (realizing it is something you only buy once). As age increases, so does the pain of arthritis in my hands making squeezing the handle more difficult.

I'm ready to go electric, I need two, one for molly and then one for Lucas red. I'm waiting of a good deal to come along and hopefully I can get a Milwaukee M12 greaser or find an adapter that will allow Rigid 18v batteries to work on another brand of greaser. I have zero interest in adding a third battery brand in the workshop.

This is one of those things you don't understand until you use one. It's a game changer and you can fart around all your want and feel good, the rest of us are in the future and it's easier, faster and cleaner.

dragoneggs - I finally broke down last year and bought a DeWalt electric greaser. I have only one tractor, a riding mower and a few implements that require greasing. It makes those "tough ones" SO much easier. Unfortunately, the LnL will not function on all the zerks I have to get. I use the "standard" adapter, the needle point & the LnL. And it's so very much cleaner.

I've found that Corn Huskers Lotion works far better on my dry, old hands than tractor grease.

How many points are you greasing daily? I have three different brands of them an Alemite, a Dewalt 20V, and a Milwaukee 18V. Of these guns two are used daily with one machine having around 70 zerks you do daily, the other has around 50 this adds up at the end of the day that if we didn’t have these tools the job probably wouldn’t be done as good manually.

When I was just greasing my tractor and a couple of attachments, I was fine for years going with my manual pump grease gun. When I added the forwarding trailer, I started thinking about a battery operated one. Now that I own an antique truck (that must have 80 grease points) I have decided to get one. I'll probably get the Milwaukee M18 gun, since I have plenty of those batteries already.

I do need to bone up on my grease knowledge a bit: I'm hoping I can use the same grease on my tractor, implements and truck, but haven't looked in to it yet (the truck had it's first good greasing done by a local friend who restores these for a living. Unfortunately, I was not around to see all the spots and ask questions that time.)

Well then just stop thinking of yourself as being 'unprofessional' and get one. :)
