battery will not stay charged

I have a john deere LA100 I bought in 2007. It seems a lot of people who have this model have the same problem. After initial start up the tractor runs fine. After I shut it off and start it again with in a week, the battery sounds like a dead battery. Cranks real slow, buzz's, and finally will start. After running, you shut it off, and it will start right up again great. But every week after sitting in the garage, it does the same thing again like the battery is dead. Now this is a new battery I just put in. Is there a charging system, or something killing the battery? I am stumped.
