WOW Soundguy That thing is huge. Looks darn nice to boot. Good job on the repaint. 3 passes with that thing and you would do my entire from yard. Takes me one hour for the front alone. LOL

But Randy....

He'd have to use your neighbor's yard to turn around :)

Soundguy,
Just wondering what brand name the gearboxes are? I recently acquire a Comer right angle and a one to three gearbox (center bushhog) that are as large as any I have seen. The center gearbox outputs turn different directions, which was a surprise to the previous owner. He finally dropped the price to where I could afford to buy them just in case I ever find a batwing with a busted gearbox on the cheap. Hope to be able to pull one behind my JD2555 someday.
Nice work on the green thing...

They are actually JD branded boxes.. the PN and logo is cast into the base. I'm not sure what factory they come from.

Thanks Soundguy.
I know Comer makes the gearboxes for at least some of the Bush Hog brand gearboxes, which this was probably ordered for.

It's a coat of primer, and a couple coats of paint and hardner.

Spraygun ( not rattlecan )

Don't laugh too hard, I once painted a Jeep CJ5 a beautiful dark cherry red with the fancier spray cans from NAPA. It turned out really well and only a trained eye would tell. They even sell rattlecan clear coat.
