The Baumalight Flail mower has standard Hammers (F2000 teeth), or you can '...upgrade to our F3000 Heavy Blade Teeth and instantly increase your mulching capacity on brush...and will allow you to double your brush size mulching capacity without any other equipment adjustments required.'
Don't most flail mowers use the Y-blades for a nicer cut, and the hammers for heavier tasks? Is this backwards w/ the Baumalight mower? If I get the Y-blades, what kind of cut could I expect when just cutting a grassy field?
I'm wondering if it's worth 2x the price of something like the Mechmaxx Ditchbank Flail (similar to Titan?). The Baumalight flail does look very heavy duty (200# more than the Mechmaxx, but no manipulations), but I'm thinking maybe getting a Mechmax ditch mower for now (I have the hydraulics) and then just saving up for the Baumalight Mulcher for the heavier stuff if needed? Initially, I'm looking to do a couple of acres of forest undergrowth cleanup, incl. taking out sapplings up to a couple of inches, and maybe mowing some fields.
Any experiences with either of these mowers?
