BCS 850 Motor Swap 10HP BS to a 13hp Honda Electric start

HI Oldtelephone,
Someone on the site referred me to this old thread. I'm in the same predicament, I have the same BCS 830 and would like to upgrade the engine to a 13hp Honda. Was it pretty much unbolt the old engine and clutch assembly, transfer old clutch on new engine, and then bolt on new engine and clutch to the tractor? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

With Honda's, you need the spacer to go on the engine shaft or it will not engage the clutch. You can also make one out of the right sized thickness washer too. Other than that, yeah it is a simple swap out. I have a repowered Honda on mine.

Thanks BrokenTrack. Do you mean a spacer on the PTO, that would be between the clutch and engine?

It is the main shaft on the engine. Without the spacer on a Honda engine, the clutch does not work as it should.
