This is one of many reasons I love my Mathews flailmower.


The best way to attach the conveyor belting is to use 2 pieces of strap iron and allen bolts, and allen washers on both sides of the deck and nylock nuts.

The two pieces of strap iron prevent the premature stressing of the mower deck by preventing the deck from twisting and racking.

Hey Bill,

While I believe the rough-cut mowers are acceptably safe, I do agree that a heavier duty rear chain guard would further enhance the safety of the mower. i have been thinking about doing that very thing for a couple years, but have not used the mower enough to have gotten around to mounting one. Your thread has inspired me to do it in the next couple weeks. I'll post pics when I complete it.
