He has some experienced trappers that I guess also know how to shoot as well. He mentioned to me that he might set a boom box near the crawl hole and play some loud RAP music as Harv mentioned, funny how you can't spell CRAP without RAP. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The Dept of Fish and Game said that this bear is probably responsible for several cabin breakin's. As was mentioned, he now knows where the easy food is and that accoding to Fish and Game is the problem. The animal society folks are the ones who identified the bear, the young girl saw it by going to the crawl hole and peeking in with a flashlight. They recommend doing nothing allowing the bear to simply leave. It is a Black bear that are very common around the Lake Tahoe area. We see them frequently. All of the garbage containers we have are "bear proof". They seem to be working well except that now the cabins are the easier target. The bears are given chances when they do this. They are identified and relocated. After so many repeats, they are killed. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
