Bedliners

Line-X in wife's 2004 GMC Sierra. A little skinned up now in a few places, but has been tough and terrific! I do recommend having an experienced shop do it that does a LOT of them.

The factory spray in liners are probably the best option. I have that in my F150 and it's great. That said, all the options will work. I have a rubber mat simply because it's easier on the knees and eliminates the corrugations. On a previous truck I had a drop in plastic liner and, while it also needed a mat to keep things from sliding around, I had that truck over 10 years and the liner was fine and no water under the liner issues. If you are on a budget, don't discount the do it yourself roll-on brush-on option. Go with the premium product (Herculiner) and the results are very similar to a factory spray on. I've used it also and liked the results.

+1 on Herculiner. I applied it on a very heavy duty, large, winch bumper on my Jeep GC. After five years the finish still looks brand new other than being a bit faded. It was messy to apply and I do not know if I would want to do an entire bed with it though- labor wise. But the end result for me was stellar.

My 2014 Silverado had a factory spay on liner;just purchased a 2017 Silverado and that was a must have for me.I don't know why they just don't make it a standard item;yes I know; cost but would help with the resale factor for sure.

I have the dual liner in my truck. Its great. Plastic sides protect from dents, heavy bottom rubber mat (removable) keeps things from sliding around. I think it's the best thing going. I've had rhino and line x products in both of my previous rigs, both were dented and looked terrible when I sold them...

I would never pay for a drop in hard plastic liner again. They are just too slippery and it doesn't matter how slow I'm driving, everything slides to the front when I stop. Sadly, my truck came from Ford with a drop in liner that doesn't have anything wrong with it, but I still think about throwing it away and having it sprayed.

Before I spent the money, I would just secure my load. But I am tight.

I had a Rhino in my 2004 Tundra and liked it-no rips or anything in 11 years. My 2015 had a drop in and I told the dealer to take it out! They gave credit toward a Line-X- so for so good.

My truck will be 16 years old and it has a drop in liner. I suppose it could be rusty on the liner but I doubt it since no rust on the rest of the truck.

I LIKE that the drop in liner is slippery since it makes it so easy load and unload cargo. I cut 2x4s to span the bed when I need to keep something from moving. Easy Peasy. If I have too, I tie cargo down but usually just moving the load to the front of the bed and putting in a 2x4 in the right spot locks things down.

I have carried yards and yards of material in the back of the truck and it is easy to just push stuff out of the bed with the right size shovel. Having a spray bed would be a PITA for the way I use my truck.

Dan

I've had two pickups with Line-X. Worked great.

I have a 02' Ford F350 I bought new with a bed liner. I always kept a rubber mat in the bottom of it to cover of my hitch holes until I needed the hitch and the rubber mat also kept things in place. I recently removed the bed liner to do some hitch mount work and was surprised to see no rust at all, not even a sign of rubbing. I would always hear nay sayers with spray in liners "it's gonna rust or rub or blah blah blah", well mine didn't or hasn't.
Although I still have that truck I recently got a new truck with a factory spray in liner and I'm happy with that too. I think the spray in is overpriced, but since mine came with the truck I'm good with it.
Between the two I think the plastic bed liner will protect your bed better, but the spray in looks better.
