Bedliners

I put plastic liner in my last truck, and a mat on top. Always had trouble closing the tailgate because of the rubber mat.
New truck I had line-x put in, and I love it. Will never use plastic liner again.

I used the DIY 2-part spray in liner. This product had good reviews on the truck forum so I bought a kit. Custom Coat Black Base 6-Liter Gun & Text Bedliner Kt It worked out very well and was easy to apply. Nice uniform finish/look.
Then I bought a second kit and used it as undercoating on the bottom of my bed and inside the rear fender wells. It has held up very good.

I think I will add a rubber mat too, to help with sliding and to prevent scuffing of the spray-in liner.

I did have a hard plastic liner at one time, but during a hurricane a couple of years ago it blew out of my bed and ended up about an acre away. And like others have said, those hard liner trap moisture under them and lead to eventual rusting - so I won't ever go back to that type.
